Hart Howerton is a firm of 100+ planners, architects, and landscape designers. Creating master plans for new communities, then designing buildings and landscapes that make them succeed, are the emphasis of their international practice. Vail principal John Burkholder has directed the Hart Howerton team in creating the master site plan and special European "sense of place" for Vail Square. In the past 10 years Hart Howerton has worked closely with Vail Resorts on the creation of several other successful communities such as Bachelor Gulch and Red Sky Ranch.
